Ready to contemplate this New Year's Eve
As this is the last day of 2008, it is always typical to reflect back at the enhancements from lessons learned in the past year, and look forward to new adventures that will, hopefully, make us stronger and happier with who we are.
I, personally, don’t do the New Year’s Resolutions list, but I do take a look at what new goals and challenges I wish to take on for the coming months. I set these up so that on Dec 31 of NEXT year, I can look back, and feel good about the answer to the “what did I accomplish this last year?”
I have always looked at my “day to day” life experiences as little adventures. Some are more challenging than others, of course, but they are nonetheless helpful in guiding me towards a goal that will take me closer to that feeling of accomplishment and pride of “a job well done”. I think, perhaps, this is helpful in keeping a positive and happy outlook on my day, as well as challenging me to learn new things, meet new people, and pushing myself to new experiences.
So, I shall work on my Goals for 2009 list over the next few days, and try to work up a reasonable plan to continue moving forward towards them.
