I switched a few years ago, and I have never looked back. I have had similar experiences with the folks at the Genius Bar in the ever-crowded Apple Store--a fact that is confirmed by anyone I know. My very recent MacBook Pro experience at the Genius Bar was every bit as helpful, but I needed a new hard drive, which will be placed in my computer and shipped to me free of charge.
